Where It Began
In 2022, our co-founders Priya and Marcus were sitting in a café in Mumbai, talking about the loneliness that had defined so much of their queer lives. Priya had grown up in a small town in Rajasthan, where being gay was not just taboo — it was dangerous. Marcus had spent years in tech, building platforms that connected millions of people, while feeling profoundly disconnected himself.
They asked each other a question that would change everything: what if there was a platform built specifically for LGBTQ+ people — not just in San Francisco or London, but in Lagos and Lahore, in Bogotá and Bangkok, in every city and village where queer people are living quietly, invisibly, waiting to be found?
Two years later, PridePyar.com launched. Within six months, we had members in 195 countries. Within a year, 4.2 million people had called it home.

PridePyar exists to ensure that no LGBTQ+ person ever has to feel alone. We believe that connection is a human right — not a privilege reserved for those lucky enough to live in accepting countries or progressive cities. We believe that love has no borders. And we believe that community, when it is built with care and intention, can save lives.

Every feature we build, every decision we make, starts with one question: is this safe for our most vulnerable members? We have zero tolerance for harassment, discrimination, or abuse.
Radical Inclusion
PridePyar is for every letter of the LGBTQ+ acronym, and for every person who has ever felt that they did not quite fit. There is no hierarchy of queerness here. Every identity is valid. Every person belongs.
Global Solidarity
We are not a Western platform that happens to be available globally. We are a global platform, built with and for LGBTQ+ people in every country — including the 69 where their love is still a crime.
Joy as Resistance
We believe that LGBTQ+ joy is a political act. Every time a member finds their chosen family, falls in love, or simply feels seen — that is a victory against every system that tried to make them invisible.

Every day, someone joins PridePyar for the first time. Maybe they are a teenager in a small town who has never met another queer person.
